Company Backgrounder / Fact Sheet

What We Do at CertifiedCare:

CertifiedCare offers family caregivers and Personal Care Aides a convenient way to gain education and training for “at home” and assisted living institutional environments.   Our distance learning programs cover all the basic skills required for personal care, as well as proficiencies in communication, decision-making and respect for the rights of the person in their care.

The Benefits of Certified Caregiving:

In addition to the many benefits of certification, the CertifiedCare certification programs offer competency in many areas including, but not limited to, the following: elderly nutrition and dietary needs, stress reduction and coping techniques, common mental and physical health issues that effect the elderly, laws regarding the elderly, how to assist them in handling their finances and end of life issues, crisis management, caregiving challenges and hundreds of tips and tricks utilized by professional caregivers that can improve the experience and make it easier for all parties involved.

Our Organization

There are three key parts to our organization, which enable us to better educate and support our caregivers:

Certification Programs:

CertifiedCare offers certification in basic family caregiving, Alzheimer’s-Dementia caregiving, and professional caregiving for frail elderly persons. The individual certification elder care training programs offered by CertifiedCare are based upon the American Medical Association (AMA) Guidelines, as they pertain to At Home Caregiving.

Job Placement:

After completing any CertifiedCare.org education certification program, caregivers are eligible to register with us as a reference regarding their education and training. This is a powerful job placement benefit because potential employers can verify certification. This lets them know that the certified caregiver has attained the highest standard of care education.

Membership:

CertifiedCare.org is a professional association for our certified caregivers.  Membership benefits include: helpful job placement assistance, caregiver tips, the latest on-the-job techniques, professional advice on wellness information and spiritual and emotional support.  A benefits plan is being explored for active members.
