CertifiedCare Alzheimer’s/Dementia Specialist Certification Program

After completing the Basic and Advanced certification program you are eligible to take the CertifiedCare Alzheimer/Dementia Specialist Certification program. It is important to be well versed in the lower level course material prior to taking the Alzheimer’s/Dementia Course.

The Alzheimer’s-Dementia certification program consists of learning the differences between caring for the Alzheimer’s afflicted person and the Dementia afflicted person, as well as the similarities related to their care. It covers all the attendant responsibilities that go along with caring for a mentally incompetent person.

The chapters describe behavioral interventions and environmental strategies that aim to improve daily activities and quality of life from a proactive communication and memory basis. Specific suggestions are provided to enhance family involvement and staff relationships, interdisciplinary cooperation, reimbursement, and documentation across various home and institutional settings.

The material is written in a straightforward style  to improve practice.  It is  an invaluable reference for beginning students in adult language disorders and gerontology.

After you read the E-text you can take the CertifiedCare Alzheimer’s/Dementia Specialist Certification exam online.

After you pass the certification exam we will send your certificate within 7 business days of receiving your test results.

The CertifiedCare Alzheimer’s/Dementia Specialist Certification program is a prerequisite to all of the other certifications available through CertifiedCare.

The cost of the CertifiedCare Alzheimer’s/Dementia Specialist Certification Program is $129 US.
