Personal Care Aide Certification (National)
CertifiedCare Advanced Health and Safety Certification Program
After being awarded your CertifiedCare Basic Certification you are eligible to take our more advanced care giving certification programs. The next level in our certification progression is Advanced Health and Safety. This is a required course for students who intend to become CertifiedCare Personal Care Aides; this is an optional course for Family Caregivers.
The CertifiedCare Advanced Health and Safety program covers:
- Complete ADL management
- Addressing medical issues
- Telemedicine
- Safety issues in care giving
- Natural stress reduction techniques
- Diet and nutrition for the elderly
- Common mental health issues
- Whole person care
- Appropriate alternative therapies for the elderly
- Death and dying
- Surviving caregiving
This is a 20 hour distance learning education and certification course program.
After you read the E-text you can take the CertifiedCare Advanced Health and Safety Certification exam online.
After you pass the certification exam we will send your certificate within 7 business days of receiving your test results.
PREREQUISITES:
The Basic Caregiving certification program is a prerequisite to the Advanced Health and Safety Certification Program offered by CertifiedCare.
The CertifiedCare Advanced Health and Safety Certification program is a prerequisite to all of the other advanced or specialty certifications available through CertifiedCare.
