CertifiedCare was established in 2008 in Cleveland, Ohio and is a duly registered non profit caregiving certification and membership organization.
CertifiedCare offers certification programs that are designed to meet the needs of family caregivers and Personal Care Aides.
In addition to our at home caregiving certification programs we offer our graduates job placement assistance through The CertifiedCare Registry©℠™ or for those who have the entrepreneurial spirit, we offer the CertifiedCare Agency License©℠™ program that certifies those interested in opening their own At Home Care agency.
The caregiver certification programs offered by CertifiedCare are based upon the American Medical Association (AMA) Guidelines as they pertain to ‘At Home Care Giving’. Our Personal Care Aide certification is a professional provider level training program uniquely designed to prepare quality caregivers for professional level ‘home-style’ caregiving. Our programs cover all the skills required for caregiving, including respect for the rights of the elderly or chronically infirmed person in their care. Ethics is a strong part of our certification curriculum and our programs reinforce the principles of independence, choice, dignity and privacy for the frail elderly. Our program graduates have learned to see daily challenges through the eyes of the elderly, and to include families in the unit of care.
We have an open enrollment policy. Eligible participants are 18 years of age or older, and we enforce a strict nondiscrimination policy. Please note however, PayPal is our exclusive payments provider and PayPal has certain country specific limits on payments that they will process.
CertifiedCare offers four caregiving certification programs: Basic, Advanced Health and Safety, Alzheimer’s/Dementia Specialist and the CertifiedCare Agency License. Each program is designed to be completed in 20 hours. At the end of each program the student receives a certificate for that level of training.
Within the coming decade CertifiedCare certification will likely become the standard for all At Home Assisted Living Personal Care providers.
CertifiedCare.org is the membership division of CertifiedCare and is open only to CertifiedCaregivers.
